Dog Whisperer is a popular show on Nat Geo WILD. Dog guru Cesar Millan knows about dogs and how to break them of their bad habits to make them truly man’s best friend. He has a genuine gift for understanding dogs of all breeds. I had the pleasure of visiting his dog center to see first hand his interactions with the dogs.
When I first arrived at the center I was immediately surrounded by dogs and, to be honest, I was a little afraid of them. Cesar assured me that everything was fine and to simply walk through the group. Amazingly, he was right and I had no fear or was not intimidated by the sheer number of dogs at the facility. He is the ultimate dog expert.
Dog Whisperer Photo Contest
To celebrate the upcoming 150th episode (Saturday, February 11, 2012) Nat Geo WILD is hosting a photo contest on Instagram, the photo sharing iPhone app. This all has over 15 million users.
The photo contest does not involve taking a picture of your beloved pooch. On the contrary, this is a birthday celebration of the show. A celebration calls for a party and a party calls for a birthday cake.
The contest is to share a photo of your freshly baked cakes. No, you cannot buy them at the local bakery. You must make your own birthday cake for this special occasion.
Entries will be received from Tuesday, January 31, 2012 through Friday, February 10, 2012 at midnight. Simply take a picture of your creation and share it on Instagram with the tags #natgeowild and #happy150. Nat Geo WILD will show several entries on their Facebook page through the week. Then on the 150th episode, “Home-Wrecking Hounds”, which premiers Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 8 pm ET/PT, Cesar Millan’s favorite cake will be announced on Instagram during the episode. Cesar will also feature the winning cake photo on his homepage and the winner will receive a personal call from Cesar Millan.
