Drew Peterson is the subject of this made-for-TV movie.

Untouchable focuses on Drew Peterson, the man whose story had the entire country talking when his fourth wife Stacy went missing. Rob Lowe plays Peterson with an interesting flair. While watching his performance in this film, viewers will definitely feel like they need to take a shower after as his sleazy personality will definitely touch them.

Drew Peterson

Drew Peterson was a Bolingbrook, Illinois (Chicago-area) police officer, actually a Sergeant. His personality won over young ladies, but later on in their relationships his true colors came out. Sure, he could be suave and attentive to them, showering them with gifts. After awhile he always turned from a Jekyll to a Hyde.

He brought young Stacy (played by Kaley Cuoco) for sexual trysts to the basement of his house he lived in with his third wife Kathleen. Being completely under his spell, Stacy went along with everything Drew said and did.

After getting a divorce from Kathleen, he married Stacy. They lived just a short distance from Kathleen, where she was found dead in her bathtub. The death was ruled an accident.

Drew and Stacy Peterson

In the beginning Drew lavished Stacy with gifts and love, but as time went by he became possessive. Actually, he became overly possessive. This led to her asking for a divorce. Then one day in 2007 she simply disappeared.

Drew’s attitude after her disappearance and the stories he wove about her caught the attention of the media. He did not seem to be a man who was distraught over the disappearance of his wife. He told everyone that she ran off with another man, but this story was unbelievable – to anyone who knew Stacy and ultimately to the police, who took a closer look at Kathleen’s death after allegations against Drew emerged.

Rob Lowe as Drew Peterson

Rob Lowe is a charming and sweet man in real life. I know because I have interviewed him. So seeing him play this disgusting character the way he does is a testament to his acting ability. He deserves accolades for his performance.

Lowe’s Drew Peterson is creepy, to say the least. He captures this man perfectly, even down to his squinty eyes. Peterson has attempted to stop this movie from being broadcast, claiming it is a “character assassination.”

The Case of Drew Peterson

Drew Peterson has been in jail since 2009 in connection with the murder of his third wife Kathleen. After Stacy went missing, Kathleen’s body was exhumed and the coroner changed the cause of death from accident to homicide.

Drew Peterson: Untouchable premiers Saturday, January 21, 2012 on Lifetime at 8 pm ET/PT.
